Natalie works at the intersection of art and craft. Her embroideries are unique designs with non-traditional themes, created using a selection of new and reclaimed fabrics and threads.
Natalie graduated BVA, Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, 2015. She also graduated Apprentice Embroiderer, Royal School of Needlework, Hampton Court Palace, UK, 2007 where she was commended for her technical excellence in traditional types of English needlework including gold work, black work, crewel work, silk shading and stump work.
She has continued to extend her supreme skill, as is evident in her subtle, intricate yet surprising works, focussed on native flora, fauna and bird forms using cotton, silk, polyester and metal threads on linen.
