Tuitui ink on Hiapo; H1285 x W1070mm
'We were taken hunting in November last year and I wasn’t able to enjoy it because of my fear of the dark and lack of being able to move over wet tree roots in the dark. My nana used to say how scary it was and that she just waited at the car usually which is what I did.
These works are made with Tuitui nut soot from Niue, a trip I took last November and are landscape snapshots of memories and places we visited during our trip. My grandparents were born in the village of Liku and raised in Alofi. They moved to Aotearoa in the 60’s and met in Auckland.' - Cora-Allan, 2024
